中德合作HCJRG研讨会暨生物地球化学模拟培训

  研讨会暨培训课程介绍 

  在地质矿产资源研究及工程地质施工过程中(包括石油、天然气、水合物开采,碳捕获和储存,深层地热等许多方面)都涉及化学反应系列过程,尤其是生物作用的参与。近年来,生物地球化学研究取得了相当深入的进展,但是由于化学反应过程复杂,周期长,示范工程代价高昂,实验模拟费用巨大,耗时长久,数值模拟方法就成研究的主要手段。这也是目前能源、环境基础研究等相关领域的前沿课题。 

  中德合作HCJRG研究小组,是由中国科学院和德国亥姆霍茨研究所共同资助的研究团队。旨在充分发挥双方优势,通过国际交流与合作,借鉴双方已有研究成果突破技术和理念瓶颈,推动我国海域能源环境领域研究。 

  本次研讨会将邀请具有丰富模拟和航次经验的海洋研究所Matthias Haeckel博士主讲,面向地质、地球化学、能源、环境及工程地质领域进行数值模拟工作的科研人员及研究生。 

  研讨会将于201529-13号在中国科学院广州能源研究所举办。此活动中国科学院和德国亥姆霍茨研究所合作研究团队项目资助。 

  为保障研讨、培训效果,本次研讨会限20人,除广州能源研究所学生、职工外,尚有少量名额向其它研究机构开放。

  日程安排 

HCJRG Seminar & Biogeochemical Modelling Training Course

  Introduction 

  For many geo-reservoir researches and geotechnical engineering applications such as petroleum extraction, carbon capture and storage, deep geothermal reservoirs and gas hydrates production, the interaction between solid, solute and gases will greatly influence the final performance of the reservoir. Nowadays, to evaluate the influence of these processes, a numerical model is often adopted.  

  It is targeting graduate students, Postdocs and researchers who are working on the topic of geo-reservoir, geochemical simulation and wish to get some insights and learn the techniques of geochemical simulation.  

  The course will cover the basic theoretical background of diagenetic processes in the marine environment, i.e. physically and biologically driven transport processes as well as kinetic and thermodynamic controls of biogeochemical reactions. Particular focus will be given on cold vent and gas hydrate systems.  

  This seminar & training course will be held from 9th to 13th Feb 2015 at the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Science (GIEC-CAS, No.2 Nengyuan R. Tianhe D, Guangzhou). It is part of the cooperation between GIEC-CAS and GEOMAR, and is financially supported by the HCJRG. Therefore, participation of students from GIEC-CAS is free of charge, and a limited number of vacancies will be provided to external participants. However, for those who are no residing in Guangzhou, they are expected to finance their own traveling and accommodation costs.

  Date, Location and Registration 

  The seminar & course will last for 5 full days, from 9th to 13th Feb. 2015, and the lectures will be in English. The course participants are expected to bring their own laptop for the modelling exercises (Excel, Matlab or some equivalent programme).  

  Interested participants are expected to send their personal information to Yuan Yuan (yuanyuan@ms.giec.ac.cn) and cc Dr. Lihua LIU (liulh@ms.giec.ac.cn) no later than 30/1/2015.  Only a limited amount of vacancies are provided for external participants.  

  Accommodation in the GIEC’s guest house could be arranged by contact with the organizer (yuanyuan@ms.giec.ac.cn) in advance.
