重点实验室学术报告会通知(2024.12.13)

应中国科学院可再生能源重点实验室和广东省可再生能源重点实验室的邀请,法国巴黎西岱大学Laurent Royon教授将于2024年12月13日(周五)访问广州能源所并举行学术报告会。报告会安排如下:

报告题目:New ways of looking at urban cooling

报告简介:

In order to adapt to climate change, various urban cooling and water harvesting techniques are being implemented in big cities. Due to the combined effect of heat-waves and urban heat islands, cities are seeking and implementing heat mitigation strategies for public spaces. This communication first presents the various solutions deployed in Paris to adapt to climate change, through the installation of new urban pavements and the use of non-potable water networks. The second part is devoted to the radiative cooling and dew water collection technique. One promising approach is the use of passive radiative cooling materials, which can provide a cooling power of 60-150 W m-2 during night-time applications. We propose surfaces that combine several characteristics to optimize the passive collection of dew water (without energy input and without external intervention), including: (i) effective radiative cooling capacities in the atmospheric window, (ii) controlled wetting properties, which favor the nucleation and growth of water droplets (or films), (iii) a geometry on a microscopic and/or macroscopic scale that facilitates the flow of droplets or films by gravity. We report the results of various investigations into the nature, properties and shape of dew water-collecting surfaces, which contribute to a significant improvement in efficiency.

Laurent Royon教授,法国巴黎西岱大学跨学科交叉能源研究所实验室主任,长期从事蒸发冷却、毛细凝聚、储热、新型相变材料等方面研究,获得法国环境与能源署技术创新奖、Climatelaunchpad二等奖等奖励已发表论文70篇,并获得多项科研成果。
